Forex Trading Training - How To Leverage Your Time

Brian here with a short message today, a quote that I feel is quite timely…

You see, during this time of year it is so easy to start getting bogged down.

The new year kickoff is over, we’ve piled new goals on ourselves, and still have everyday life to tend to.

The shorter days, the cold weather, and the now re-inflated “To-Do” list can have us right back in that state of overwhelm where it makes getting anything done a challenge.

This is where the quote is helpful, because we need one thing more than ever at this time of year:

FOCUS

“The 80/20 principle - that 80 percent of results flow
from just 20 per cent of the causes - is the one
true principle of highly effective people.”

— Richard Koch: is a former management consultant,
entrepreneur, and writer

By maintaining focus on the truly important and high-impact matters, only then will be make it through this challenging season.

And what are the 20 percent matters for you as a trader?

There are hundreds of little topics and items that can serve as distractions, but in the last 6 years of helping traders get their trading turned around and under control, I’ve found these two are the most important and definitely have the greatest influence on your outcomes.

If you truly desire to have security from a reliable operation, then you must recognize that you are indeed the owner of a business, a real business.

And of course, no matter what business you’re in, you need to be good at doing ‘the thing of the business’.

So you have two levels on which to concentrate your efforts for maximum effectiveness.

High-level organization - treating your trading as a business

Daily organization and skill - making sure your trading is truly solid

By attending to your roles as owner/manager and always improving your system, skills and abilities as a trader, you are taking the right steps to ensure your success both immediately and in the long term.

Don’t get distracted with the wrong stuff.

Focus on the 20 percent, get the 80 percent results.

Cheers

P.S.  Don’t let your ego cause you to dismiss a simple and straightforward solution, just because you’ve been at this for so long.
