Obliterate Social Phobias And Create Self Confidence
Self-Confidence is an emotional and mental state of mind which responds to a person's need for self-acceptance and recognition. It is one among the oldest and most studied ideas in psychology. It describes a positive albeit proper perception of oneself and one's abilities. As such, self-confident individuals most often have a better knowledge of what they can achieve and will be more likely to be successful in what they attempt. They will also more easily admit and understand their mistakes.
By contrast, a lack of confidence may prevent you from believing what you do and decide will in the end turn out the way you had expected. It can thus hamper the buildup of decision-making skills, planning and management abilities all of which are fundamental and indispensable skills in today's business world. The pre-occupation with how others will judge your work may also cause you to become excessively self-critical, which will distract you from tasks you would have otherwise been totally capable of performing.
Low self confidence will also affect your social life, because people with low self confidence are more likely to stay in their "comfort zone" and dread the risk of rejection. This is called social phobia and is commonly associated with low self confidence, as well as other mental afflictions such as depression. People with low self confidence are scared of being judged by others and will avoid talking to new people, which can consequently lead to isolation and even less self confidence. Low self confidence is a vicious cycle that is difficult to break.
To the contrary, because they are able to trust their own abilities, self-confident individuals can do what they feel is right and do not expect the approval of their peers. They are also able to inspire confidence: your boss, employees, customers, friends or relatives will be more likely to trust you or what you are telling them if you appear self-confident.
Numerous experiences can lead to low self confidence. Recent research indicates that education has a major impact on the development of the self confidence of children. Bodily and emotional abuses in childhood are for example the worse for a person's self confidence, as well as family conflicts and divorce. Overprotective parents can also be a reason for a child's social phobia and discourage the independence mandatory to develop self confidence. Successes and failures, for example at school or in one's professional life, also play a decisive role: failing a class or losing a job are some of the various experiences that will negatively affect your self confidence.
It is however possible to overcome such bad experiences and develop confidence. The first step to develop self confidence is to learn to know who you are and your strengths. Acknowledging the fact that you are allowed not to be perfect and cannot be good in all that you do will help you build self confidence. Accepting who you are is the key to building self confidence. But in order to improve your self confidence you also have to start taking risks and giving yourself credit for your accomplishments. This is very simple advice that will help you gain self confidence. You may also find plenty of books that will tell you how to gain self confidence, but many of them are not reliable.
A great number of people suffer from low self confidence or are only able to gain self confidence in one or a few areas of their lives because they constantly look for other people's approval and are scared that they could fail. Many factors, including childhood traumas, can explain why some people cannot enjoy the wholesome life of a self confident person. These people also do not always know how to gain self confidence. However improving self confidence can now easily and effectively be achieved thanks to NLP and hypnosis.
As we have seen before social phobia and low self confidence can be triggered by traumas or unconscious fears which can be difficult to overcome with sheer self persuasion. Confidence hypnosis and NLP by contrast can get to the unconscious part of our mind and change belief systems to boost self confidence. They are effective tools that will help you address your fears and trust yourself to develop self confidence.
Self-Confidence hypnosis has been in use for numerous years and has shown significant results in building self confidence. Once in a hypnotized state, reaching unconscious thoughts is much easier and, through hypnotic suggestion, you will be able to replace your negative thought patterns with positive ones to gain your confidence.
