Hello and welcome to Inside Out Trading!

Brian McAboy here.

As the name infers, Inside Out Trading focuses on the personal aspect of trading, the “soft-side” if you will, on the belief that the results a person gets in life comes from who they are on the inside.

A brief note on who I am and why I’m here.

First and foremost, I care about you. Granted, I don’t know you personally, but I do know that every year a huge number of genuine and sincere people get into trading only to get many hard lessons. And I don’t like seeing bad things happen to good people.

Trading takes a personal and financial toll on most new traders and it is not necessary, yet happens way too often. The problem is that the doors are wide open to trading for anyone to enter, but without any pre-requisite preparation. That lack of preparation, both technically and personally, creates a situation in which where you have high potential risks and the lessons usually come in the form of losses – usually substantial losses.

My education and background are Engineering. I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and I’m also a certified Quality Engineer. Even though that may make it seem like I am a highly technical person, I have learned through the years that it is all about people.

People make a machine run, and people are what make a business run, whether it is a traditional business with employees or a simple trading business like yours. It is the people in the business that really is the business. The leadership, the organization, the managers and employees, or the individual doing the trading – this is what makes the business successful or not. The structure, systems and technical tools are simply the mechanics of the business and help the people make business happen, and the same is true in trading.

My first six months in trading were full of thrills and defeats, gains and losses, and did not result in consistent profits. I took the road that most do in trading and it was exciting, but in the end not fun at all. I had taken my account from $15,000 to over $37,000 and then back down to $1,500 and it was time for a break. So I stayed out for about a year.

When it was time to get back into trading, I decided that I would do things very differently from the first time and what I found was that there was an avalanche of information out there and most of it geared toward specific systems or trading methodologies.

I happened to become friends with a Life Coach that specializes in Emotional Intelligence, and when we got to talking about trading, I told her that there is a very large group of people that could use her services, since so many of the losses that occur in trading have a root cause of emotions impacting the decision-making process for traders. Unfortunately, the executive coaching that she does runs $10,000 for six months of coaching, a bit much for most of the people that need it.

So I counselled with her, did research and reading, then took what I knew from my own experience in trading and decided to publish a course for traders on how to protect themselves from the emotional mistakes that cause the losses and heartache and publish it for under $200. I knew that this would make it much more feasible for those in need of the help, so in this fashion I could help a considerably larger number of people. The focus and primary purpose behind everything I do is to help you find the success in trading that is there to be had and that you know you are capable of achieving.

In summary, I am here and do what I do because I care about people and I care about you.

Most Sincerely,

Brian McAboy
